The Black Bull Whitby is a freehouse that we have had the pleasure of running for 20 years now. We pride ourselves on the traditional character of the pub (no televisions or games machines, but we do have Wi-Fi) and offer a warm welcome to all our visitors. We try to keep a diverse menu, serving mainly homemade food that offers something for everyone. We have an extensive menu accompanied by a particularly varied Special's Board. We have an actual Dessert Board too, which features traditional homemade offerings like Sticky Toffee, Bread and Butter alongside various Sundaes and even Banana Split!

We offer a range of traditional homemade food options on our takeaway menu as well as the option of traditional Sunday roast to takeaway at the weekend.

On the question of dog's, we love them but only permit guide or assistance dogs (with the correct identification) in the pub. We do have a beer garden that is dog-friendly (partially covered over) and accessible from the road that runs past the Quoits pitch to the rear of the pub.
